AI GurukulZ

Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 October 2026 · Version 2.2

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of AI GurukulZ ("AI GurukulZ", "we", "us"), a product of Twor Consulting Engineers Private Limited ("Company"), available at gurukulz.com and related subdomains. By creating an account or using AI GurukulZ, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who this applies to

AI GurukulZ is offered to schools, coaching institutes, colleges, universities, individual teachers and course creators (“Institutions”), to students who access AI GurukulZ through an Institution, and to individuals who sign up directly (“Learners”). “You” means whichever of these is using AI GurukulZ. Where a student is under 18, the Institution’s use of AI GurukulZ on that student’s behalf, and any parental or guardian consent required, is governed by our Privacy Policy. A Learner who signs up directly and is under 18 needs the approval of a parent or lawful guardian, as set out in Section 2.

2. Eligibility and accounts

When you sign up directly, you enter your date of birth. If you are 18 or over, you create the account yourself. If you are under 18, we do not create your account until your parent or lawful guardian has approved it. We email them a private link, valid for 7 days. The page tells them what personal data we collect and why. We create the account only after they enter their name and confirm, by ticking a declaration, that they are your parent or lawful guardian and that they consent to our processing your personal data. We record that consent with its date, the version of the wording, and their IP address and device. If they decline, or do not respond within 7 days, nothing is created and the details we held are erased. Your parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time using the link we email them; this deletes the account and everything in it. You must give your correct date of birth. Giving a false one breaches these Terms, and we may close the account.

Students under 18 can also use AI GurukulZ through an Institution that has obtained the required parental or guardian consent. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login private, and for activity under your account; tell us at once if you suspect misuse. Institution accounts may create sub-accounts for teachers and students, and the Institution is responsible for managing access within its own organization.

3. Content you upload, and your confirmation

AI GurukulZ is a study tool for your own material. Use it for notes you wrote or typed, photos or scans of your own notes, work you created, material your teacher or Institution has given you the right to use, and material that is free to use under its licence or is in the public domain. We do not ask for, need or encourage textbooks or other material that belongs to someone else.

Your confirmation. The first time you upload study material, we ask you to confirm, once, that the files you upload are your own work, or that you have the necessary rights or permission to use them for personal study, without infringing anyone else’s copyright. The confirmation covers your uploads from then on, and we ask again only if we change its wording. We record it with its date, the version of the wording, and your IP address and device. Do not upload copyrighted or copy-protected material of someone else that you have no right to use. Institutions and teachers give the same confirmation, and before a course is shared with a class or published, the person publishing confirms that everything in it is their own, or is licensed or permitted for that use.

Material that belongs to someone else. If you upload something that someone else owns (for example, manual notes, or brought-out notes, or a PDF, PNG or other file of text or images), their rights in it stay with them. An Output built from it is for your own study. You must not publish, sell or share it beyond what the law allows.

Protected files. We do not remove passwords, copy-protection or any other technical protection from a file. A protected or locked file is refused. If you are entitled to use the material, upload an unprotected copy of it.

The responsibility is yours. You are responsible for what you upload and for your confirmation. We do not read or approve uploads before they are processed. You warrant that you hold the rights or authorization necessary to upload and use your content on AI GurukulZ, and you agree to indemnify the Company against any third-party claim arising from content you upload.

Licence to run the service. You keep every right you have in your content. You give AI GurukulZ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, index, adapt (for example, cut a PDF into topic pages) and display your content, and to pass it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, solely to provide the service to you and your Institution's users, keep it secure and meet our legal duties. It is a licence, not an assignment. It ends when your content is deleted, apart from backups as described in Section 11. We do not use your uploaded content or Outputs to train AI models. Notes uploaded by a Learner are private to that Learner's account.

We do not pre-review content before it is processed. If you believe content on AI GurukulZ infringes your rights, see Section 7 (Notice and takedown) below.

4. AI-generated content and Outputs

AI GurukulZ's AI Teacher, Tutor and Assessor generate explanations, practice questions and assessments based on your uploaded content and general knowledge. AI-generated output may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided to support, not replace, a qualified teacher's judgment. It is not professional advice; please check important facts against your textbook or teacher. We apply an Output Safety Layer (similarity checks and citation/attribution) to reduce near-verbatim reproduction of source material, but no automated system is error-free.

Outputs. The notes, quizzes, explanations, lecture scripts, sketches and images that AI GurukulZ's AI creates for you, from your content or your requests, are "Outputs". As between you and us, Outputs created for you are yours: in return for your use of the service and your promises in these Terms, the Company assigns to you all right, title and interest it has, if any, in them, on a perpetual and worldwide basis, taking effect when the Output is created. Moral rights are not affected. Because the law on rights in AI-generated works is still developing, we do not promise that any Output is protected by copyright or is unique to you; similar Outputs may be created for other people. Outputs built from material that belongs to someone else are for your own study only (Section 3).

The teachers shown on AI GurukulZ, including their faces, voices and lecture videos, are AI-generated. They do not represent, and are not, real individuals. Lecture videos carry an “AI Teacher” label.

5. Live classes and recorded lectures

In a live class you speak with the AI Teacher, and the text of the conversation (the transcript) is saved to your account as described in our Privacy Policy. Recorded lectures are the Company's own teaching content and are for viewing inside your own account only. You may not download, copy, record, redistribute or resell the lecture videos, or bypass the playback controls (including the controls that keep a lecture in order). This does not limit your rights in your own content or in the Outputs created for you under Section 4. A lecture made from your own notes is private to your account. A lecture on a general topic may be shared with other Learners and contains no personal data.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload content that belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use; upload a copy-protected or locked file, or try to remove its protection; use AI GurukulZ to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or sexually explicit material involving minors (zero tolerance); attempt to circumvent the Output Safety Layer or the playback controls; scrape, overload or break into the service; or use the service in a way that violates applicable law, including the Copyright Act, 1957, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if we reasonably believe that content or conduct breaks this Section, or after a valid complaint under Section 7.

7. Notice and takedown (intermediary safe harbour)

AI GurukulZ hosts and processes content that users upload. We do not create or choose it, and we do not exercise editorial control over it before it is uploaded and processed. We rely on the intermediary safe harbour under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, to the extent the law allows.

If you believe content hosted on AI GurukulZ infringes your rights or violates law, write to our Grievance Officer (see Contact). Please identify the work, say where the content is on AI GurukulZ, state your rights in it, confirm that your complaint is made in good faith, and sign it. We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours. On a written complaint about an infringing copy, we disable access to it for 21 days, or until a court orders otherwise. We tell the uploader, who may respond. We aim to resolve the complaint within 15 days and keep a record of it and of what we did. We may close the account of anyone who repeatedly uploads content that infringes other people's rights.

8. Subscription and fees

AI GurukulZ offers free, consumer, and institutional subscription tiers as described at signup or in your Institution Agreement. Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are as stated at the time of purchase.

9. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload, and you own Outputs as set out in Section 4. The AI GurukulZ platform, including its software, prompts, templates, course-building methods, avatars, voices, designs, knowledge-graph technology, branding, and the lectures and library content that the Company itself creates, is the property of the Company and its licensors. We may keep and use aggregate, anonymised usage data that does not identify you. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of AI GurukulZ's own technology to you, except the right to use the service. We do not create an AI voice or likeness of a real person without that person's written consent.

10. Data protection

Our collection and use of personal data, including student data, is described in our Privacy Policy, built to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

11. Deleting content, termination and closing your account

You can delete any file, topic or course in AI GurukulZ at any time. When you delete a course, chapter or topic, we remove its stored files, saved readings and cached copies from our live systems within 7 days. Backups are overwritten within 90 days and are not used for anything else in the meantime.

You may stop using AI GurukulZ at any time. A Learner who signed up directly can delete their own account in the dashboard under Settings → Delete my account. We confirm it is you with a code sent to your email (or, if you signed up only with a mobile number, by asking you to type DELETE and your mobile number), and then erase the account and everything in it, as described in the Privacy Policy. For a child’s account, the parent or guardian can do the same by withdrawing consent through the link in the approval email. Accounts created through an Institution are managed by the Institution; you can ask it, or write to grievance@gurukulz.com, and we act on a verified request within 30 days, except for records the law requires us to keep. When an account is deleted we keep the record of your consents, as the Privacy Policy explains. If you do not accept these Terms, or a later change to them, you may stop using AI GurukulZ and delete your account without penalty. We cannot provide the service without the licence in Section 3, but we will not refuse to delete your data.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, including repeated unauthorized content uploads. Sections 3, 4, 9, 12 and 13 survive termination.

12. Limitation of liability

AI GurukulZ is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated content, and its total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice on the AI GurukulZ platform or by email before a change that reduces your rights takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using AI GurukulZ and ask us to delete your account as set out in Section 11. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
